How Long Does a Custom Vinyl Record Take?
Order to Dispatch, Measured
Dispatch is the part we control: from the moment your order arrives to the moment your record leaves the workshop. In between, your playlist is bought and mastered, the disc is cut, the artwork is printed, a person checks it, and it is packed.
As of 1 November 2026 the median is 32 working hours across the last 30 orders. Four things about that number are worth knowing, because a figure without its definition is decoration.
- Median, Not Average
- The middle order of the sample. One order that stopped for a question cannot drag the figure around, and neither can one that flew through.
- Working Hours
- Weekends and workshop holidays are taken out. A weekend counts only if someone was in cutting.
- The Last 30 Orders
- A recent sample rather than a lifetime average, so it follows how the workshop is running now.
- Replacements Left Out
- Replacements and re-ships are excluded, so a second run of an order cannot flatter or spoil the figure.
Delivery, After It Leaves Us
Once your parcel is with the carrier, the clock is theirs. The table below is built from real tracked deliveries over the last 90 days. The first figure is the fastest we have seen to that country, and the second is the time nine parcels in ten took.
| Country | Delivery time | Measured how |
|---|---|---|
| United Kingdom | 1–2 working days | Real tracked deliveries |
| Netherlands | 1–5 working days | Real tracked deliveries |
| Australia | 2–8 working days | Real tracked deliveries |
| United States | 1–7 working days | Real tracked deliveries |
| Germany | 1–5 working days | Real tracked deliveries |
| Ireland | 1–4 working days | Real tracked deliveries |
| Canada | 2–7 working days | Real tracked deliveries |
| Spain | 1–5 working days | Real tracked deliveries |
| Belgium | 2–6 working days | Real tracked deliveries |
| Portugal | 1–8 working days | Real tracked deliveries |
| France | 1–8 working days | Real tracked deliveries |
| Switzerland | 2–6 working days | Real tracked deliveries |
This is what parcels typically took. It is not a promise for any one order, and a customs check or a bad week of weather can sit outside it.

What Changes the Time
- Hearing It First
- At checkout you can choose to hear your master and approve it before we cut. It adds about a day, and it is there to catch a mistake of ours: a wrong song, the wrong order, something that does not sound right.
- A Playlist We Build for You
- If you send us a list of songs rather than your own files, we buy those tracks and master them here before anything is cut.
- Something That Needs Sorting
- If a side runs long, a file will not open, or the artwork is something we are not able to print, we come back to you. From there the clock is partly in your hands.
- Where You Are
- Dispatch is the same wherever you live. Delivery is not, which is why the two numbers are kept apart on this page.
Why Our Dates Are Estimates
Every record here is made for one person, one at a time, on a lathe that cuts in real time. A promised date is easy to print on a website and hard to keep, and the cost of missing one lands on somebody’s birthday, wedding or anniversary.
So we publish what actually happened instead: the median hours to dispatch, and the delivery times parcels really took. Both are dated, both carry their definition, and both are read live from our own systems. If the day matters to you, order as early as you can and watch for the tracking email.

How to Keep Your Order Moving
01
Get the Playlist Right First
Tracks are bought when you order, so changes afterwards mean reopening the playlist. Settle the songs and their order before you check out.
02
Check It Fits
A side that runs long is the most common reason an order stops for a conversation. The will-it-fit check takes a minute.
03
Use Artwork You Have the Right to Use
Your own photos, your own designs, generated pictures and royalty-free art all go straight through. Album covers, band logos and photos of famous people do not.
04
Choose Approval Only If You Want It
Approving your master before we cut adds about a day. Worth it if you want to hear it first, and easy to skip if you would rather have the record sooner.
What These Numbers Are, and What They Aren’t
It is
- Measured from our own orders, read live every time this page loads.
- A median, with weekends and workshop holidays taken out.
- Delivery bands built from parcels that were really tracked to that country.
- Dated, so you can see how fresh the figure is.
It Isn’t
- A promise or a guarantee. Your own order gets its own estimated dispatch date.
- An average, which one stuck order could quietly ruin.
- A countdown. We do not run order-by-this-date offers.
- The same everywhere. Dispatch is one number; delivery depends on your address.
Who Cuts It
Your record is cut in our workshop, and we have been making one-off records since 2016. Records are cut one at a time, and every order is QC checked before it ships. That check is part of the time, and it is the part we would never take out.
Questions People Ask
How long does a custom vinyl record take?
As of 1 November 2026, the median time from order to dispatch is 32 working hours, measured over the last 30 orders with weekends taken out. How long delivery takes after that depends on your country.
How long does delivery take to the United States?
Over the last 90 days, the fastest tracked delivery to the United States took 1 working day after dispatch, and nine parcels in ten arrived within 7 working days. These are past deliveries, not a guarantee.
Can I get my record by a certain date?
Every record is made to order, and your order shows an estimated dispatch date, worked out from our current workload, before you pay. Order as early as you can, read the measured numbers above, and use the tracking email when your parcel is on its way.
Does choosing approval make it slower?
It adds about a day. You hear your master and approve it before we cut, which is there to catch a mistake of ours rather than to redesign the record.
Why is the figure in working hours?
Because weekends and workshop holidays would otherwise pad it. Working hours count only the time the workshop could actually have been working on your order.
What slows an order down?
Usually something we need to ask you about: a side that runs long, a file that will not open, or artwork we are not able to print. Getting those right before you order is the fastest thing you can do.
Where is my record made?
In our own workshop, on our own lathes, with cutting styli we make ourselves.
