What Is a 7-inch Picture Disc?
A picture disc is a clear record with your picture sealed inside, cut on the same lathes to the same standard, with exactly the same sound quality as classic vinyl. The 7-inch is our very first record, and still our flagship: we have made thousands. It plays on any normal turntable at 45 rpm and holds up to 6 minutes on its one side.
Want both sides to play? Make a custom 7-inch vinyl record.

Fair Pricing
You pay for what we cut. A short record costs less than a full one, and the price moves as you add songs.
Priced by the music on it: from £17.00, up to £24.00 for the full 6 minutes. Songs we buy for you are £1.00 each.

About This Picture Disc
Upload a photo or artwork, place it in the designer, and see it turn in 3D before you order.
- Recording time
- Up to 6 minutes on one side, and up to 12 tracks. The gaps between tracks count: 4 seconds each, unless you change them.
- Too long?
- Run over and the designer tells you. Take a track off, or let us trim the last one with a gentle fade.
- Speed
- 45 rpm.
- Your picture
- Upload the largest original you have, not a copy saved from social media. The designer tells you if a picture is too small to print sharp.
- Your music
- Upload your own audio, record a message, or pick songs and we buy them for you. Commercial tracks are covered by our licence for private use. The licence covers music only: use your own pictures, or ones you have the rights to.
- Sleeve and cover
- A coloured card insert sleeve is included: black, white, red, yellow, blue, green, pink or purple. Add a printed cover in the same designer: it costs less with the record.
- Mastering
- Mastering included. Your audio is mastered for vinyl and your picture prepared for print.
- Check it first
- At checkout, choose Approve first to hear your master and see the proofs before we make it. It adds about a day.
- More than one
- Each copy costs less when you order more than one of the same design.
- Packing
- Packed flat in a reinforced mailer and sent tracked. Your account shows each stage: verifying, mastering, cutting, shipped.
- Jukeboxes
- Not every jukebox or auto-return turntable plays a lathe-cut record right through, so we can't promise one will.
A picture disc makes a personalised gift that lasts: a wedding photo with your first dance, a birthday, an anniversary, a favourite place, a pet, a band you play in.

Questions
Can I use any songs?⌄
Yes. Commercial tracks are covered by our MCPS-PRS licence for private use, and your own recordings or a voice message are welcome too.
How does a picture disc sound?⌄
A picture disc is a clear record with your picture sealed inside, cut on the same lathes to the same standard, with exactly the same sound quality as classic vinyl. It plays on any normal turntable.
What size photo should I send?⌄
The original file, at 300 dpi: 2,173 px across for this 7-inch picture disc. A picture saved from social media is heavily compressed, and it shows in print.
Can I use an album cover or a photo of a celebrity?⌄
No. We are licensed for the music, not for artwork, so album covers, band logos, record label marks and photos of celebrities are out. Your own photos, drawings and designs are fine. More on copyright and licensing.
How long does it take?⌄
Every order shows an estimated dispatch date, worked out from our current workload, here and at checkout, plus an estimated delivery range for your country. Our stats page shows how recent orders actually went, measured.
